Veterans

I have an undying appreciation for the sacrifices our veterans have made for us.  They willingly volunteered and went into harms way in order to help protect the freedoms we cherish and our way of life.

When they return from war, it is our responsibility to care for them - especially when it comes to recovering from life-changing war-related injuries. 

As Congresswoman, I will work tirelessly to ensure our veterans are given the care they deserve.  I will seek full funding of our military hospitals, rehab centers, and other medical programs to help our injured veterans recover.  I will also work for funding in medical research to develop treatments for currently untreatable conditions like spinal cord and brain injuries.

In addition, it is important to offer our veterans robust job training programs and job placement assistance to help them rejoin the civilian workforce.  I will work to provide our veterans every opportunity they deserve for their service to all of us.
